That's right she sucked. Seriously. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that I have no sympathy, but you're wrong. I do have sympathy. I have sympathy for children who have awful diseases that they didn't ask for. I feel badly for people that have suffered tragedies that they did nothing to bring upon themselves. Amy Winehouse asked for what she got. That stupid bimbo fucked her own life up. She had NOBODY to blame for her problems other than herself. Supposedly, she had some talent. Good for her. Some people liked her voice and she made money. She decided somewhere along the road that it would be a good idea to get screwed up on drugs. I heard that she was on horse tranquilizer, crack and heroin when she finally gave up the ghost. Amy Winehouse does not deserve anyone's tears. She sucked.
I'll agree with you on this one. I've always seen her as nothing but a "Glorified Crack Whore". I hated her voice and even worse I hated all the attention she got when she died. Of course, close family and friends had a reason to mourn, but all the ridiculous amounts of sudden "fans" that popped outta nowhere, just absurd. The worst thing about her? How she sodomized and mutilated many of my favorite songs (covers) with her horrific drunken, wanna be Bob Dylan style singing. Just HORRENDOUS, and unforgivable.

ReplyDeleteIf you can sing you don't need to do all the vocal gyration. example - her version of the Beatles All My Lovin, McCartney simply sang the song, sold millions and made it an all time classic, this bimbo tried to hit every note in the scale on every word, and ended up sounding like ever other bimbo who fails to capture the simple beauty of art and thus the need to swing for the fences on every pitch.

Just watched her on Palladia and was disgusted by her lazy inarticulate slurring approach to her craft and for this she was praised and earned incredible wealth. Sad commentary indeed...!
